Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to this month's One Stamp at a Time (OSAT) Blog Hop. I was very excited to participate in last month's hop. This month's blog theme is "Christmas in July". I know that you have already seen some great cards and projects from our other blog hop participants, and I hope that you will visit all of the creative individuals' blogs for more inspiration.
This month I created several 3 x 3 cards to coordinate with my project, which is a box to house the cards. This would be a perfect gift for co-worker's, teachers or even as items to sell at upcoming craft shows. The card box holds several cards, but for this challenge I made three different cards as examples.
The first card uses Stampin' Up's Festival of Tree's Photopolymer stamp set with the matching Tree punch. I layered the background trees by stamping off a couple of images to give the card the lighter shaded trees. For the final tree, I stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White and used the dotted image to add the red accents for the tree decorations. I raised the image with Stampin' Up Dimensionals. For a bit of shimmer I dotted clear Dazzling Details on the red tree decorations, background trees and on the Whisper White to represent falling snow.
For the last card I used a Whisper White card base and the Stampin' Up Dotty Angles stamp in Real Red. Accent pieces were added by using the Decorative Label and the large Oval Punch, with a touch of gold metallic thread. The sentiment was stamped on a separate piece of whisper white. I then divided the sentiment and added the banner edges by using the 1" square punch.
For the project portion of the challenge, I made a matching gift box to store the 3x3 card sets. I used a tutorial from Pootles, which I have listed below.
As with the other projects, I used the Dotty Angles Stamp Set and the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set.
After using the framelits to complete the wreath, I used the silver ribbon to accent the box.
