OSAT December Blog Hop - Thank You!

Welcome everyone!  It is that time of the month.....you guessed it, One Stamp at a Time monthly blog hop.  I am so glad you could join us this week.  If you are joining me from Megan's page, I hope that you will enjoy my and the rest of the gang's creations just as much.

If you are like me, you are still working on creating your Christmas cards.  While you are in the crafting mood, throw in a couple of "Thank You" cards to the mix.  I think as the year's have passed, the formal "Thank You" has gone a bit to the way side.  How many times has someone gave of themselves to bring a smile to a loved one's face?  Putting your time and energy into creating an item to show your gratitude really means a lot.

From a personal perspective, I must say that the best formal "Thank You" I ever received was from my husband.  Typically my husband isn't as thoughtful as he could be.....lol.... How many of you are nodding your head along with me?  I do have to give him credit for this one though.  Sixteen years ago, we brought home a wonderful bundle of joy with red hair.

When we parked in the driveway my husband had "Welcome Home" signs in the yard and presented me with a dozen roses and a "Thank You" card for giving him the greatest gift of all.  I must say, although my hormones may have had an impact - this gesture still tears me up today and will be with me forever.

With the "Thank You" surrounding the birth of our child, I used the baby theme and created this adorable card.  This would be perfect for showing gratitude for a baby shower gift or to even say thanks after a first birthday party.  I have wanted to use this paper for a while, but no project moved me until I thought of "Thank You".

For my project and in keeping with my previous hop postings, I created a matching scrapbook page. This page is perfect to record those images of a child's/grandchild's first year.

Next up on the blog hop is Lori!  You can follow her link below or just click the "Next" button.  I can't wait to see what she came up with!

I am so glad that you could join us this month and hope that the upcoming Holiday and New Year find you well.

Please join us again next month as we kick off 2016 and as always HAPPY STAMPIN'!

Simply Stamp It Color Challenge - SSIC #47

As we bring Thanksgiving to a close, I thought I would share my entry for the Simply Stamp It Challenge #47.  The challenge for this week was to use the Stampin' Up Colors for Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Whisper White.

As it is Thanksgiving, I thought I would use the Acorny Thank You Stamp/Punch Bundle, Vintage Leaves and Lighthearted Leaves stamp sets.  These colors go wonderfully with the Thanksgiving theme.

I hope you have enjoyed my creation.  Be sure to visit the Simply Stamp It Facebook page and comment on my post.  Only comments count as votes.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Stampin'!

Stamp Ink Paper #24 - Color Challenge

Good Morning......

Before I start diving into the Holiday cooking, I wanted to share my creation for this week's Stamp Ink Paper color challenge.  As we are approaching the holiday seasons, I thought this color combination would be a bit challenging to incorporate - and I was right!

Although these colors aren't your traditional colors for Christmas, I thought I would give it a whirl.  I love how it turned out.  The most time consuming part was coloring in the holly leaves and berries with my blender pen.  Definitely not a card that you can mass produce with limited time, but perfect for that special friend or family member.

I used the Stampin' Up Peaceful Wreath set from the Holiday catalog along with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.  The basic black background of the card really accents the Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder colors.  I hope you have enjoyed my creation and will join in the fun and creativity.  As always, any items created on my page are available for purchase.  If you want to get your craft on and create this card yourself, I have listed the supplies below for your convenience. As always.... Happy Stampin'!

CYCI#96 - Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday  Everyone!

Today I am participating the Can You Case It #96 Sketch Challenge.  Although this card looks like it was time consuming, it was really very easy.

The first step was using the tree stamp from my Stampin' Up Wonderland stamp set.  I stamped the trees in Mossy Meadow and layered them across the bottom of the Whisper White card stock.  My next step was to sponge the lower level of the setting sun in Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie ink.  The lighter color was So Saffron.  The oncoming night sky was sponged in Marina Mist.  I used gold embossing powder on a 3/4 inch section of Whisper White.  I added some gold stars from my collection of sequins using the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen by Stampin' Up.  I LOVE this tools.  It puts a small amount of glue o the card.  Perfect for those smaller embellishments.  Once I had all the items added, I attached to the card base which was the Night of Navy card stock.

I hope you have enjoyed my design and will play along with us at Can You Case it.  Please feel free to check out my other projects and as always.......Happy Stampin'!

'Tis the season for creating your Christmas Cards!

Ahhhhh.........Finally, my vacation time is here!  I look forward to taking the week of Thanksgiving and spending it with my family.  It also gives me time to put up the Christmas tree and focus on creating new projects.  My MOJO has been off after a pretty rough October, but I think I have found it once again.

I created this card for a swap at our monthly Stampin' Up demo meeting.  It is amazing when you start out with nothing and it morphs into something that you really love.

I am very pleased with the way these cards turned out.  I love the traditional red and green colors.  I will have to order more of the Christmas paper while they still have some available!  As always, if you see a card or project listed on this blog that you would like to purchase, feel free to contact me.  I love making custom cards.

As the week goes by, I will continue to add more creations and hopefully inspire you to create your own Christmas cards.

Happy Stampin'!

Happy Thursday!  It is getting closer and closer to Gobble day!

I am fortunate enough to be a guest hopper the Thanksgiving theme along with fellow guest hoppers -

and

Please make sure you welcome them to the hop and show some love!  I am sure they are as excited as I am to participate.

If you are joining my from Siara's blog, didn't you just love her card and project!  So cute.  I am a bit behind on my crafting after being on break for a few weeks.  Although my favorite color is green, I love all the color's that paint the Georgia mountains in the fall.  We are enjoying our last glimpse of the changing leaves.

This month, I decided to use some of those fall colors in creating this cute card with the Acorn Bundle set from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog.  The bundle includes both the Acorny Thank You Stamp Set and the Acorn Builder Punch.  Isn't it just adorable?!

For my project, I created a coordinating decorative wrap for a wine tube.  This would be a perfect gift (plus the wine) for a hostess gift.  With this project, I used the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set along with the coordinating dies.  I used versa mark and white embossing powder to accent the intricate designs.  I then sponged the inside with several different fall accent colors.

Who loves free crafting supplies?  As an incentive for the time spent with us on the blog hop journey, We are doing a random give-a-way for individuals who comment on all 12 posts in this hop and email Elizabeth the favorite color of each hopper.  In addition to enjoying the creativity of this group, you will be entered to win a fun crafty present from each of the bloggers!  How cool is that?  Remember - you must comment on all blogs as well as email the favorite color of each blogger to Elizabeth at happystamper508@gmail.com.

OSAT - Holiday Blog Hop

Welcome!

It's that time again......Thursday OSAT Blog hop!  This month's theme is "Holiday".  I have been MIA for a while.  October was not a good month, so I am ready for some family time over the next month and a half.  So with that.......let's get in the Holiday spirit!

I know that Megan had an awesome card and project and I hope you enjoy what I have created.  As everyone goes thru a creative block, I thought I would CASE an item from the Holiday Stampin' Up Catalog.  This card is a close copy of the card listed on page 33.  I have listed the products used below for quick reference.

In making this card, it jump started my creativity and I used the same bundle to create this scrapbook page to catch memories of the first snow of the season, and when you live in Georgia the snow may not come until January.

I just love how the Brick Wall embossing folder helps to create the look of the igloo.  It goes perfectly with the little penguin.  The snowy scene just makes me smile.

I guess the lack of snow down south makes me enjoy the winter scenery when we do get a dose.

Here is a closer view of the penguin's igloo.  I love the little scarf for the penguin!

I hope you have enjoyed the items I have shared for this month's OSAT Hop.

Be sure to visit the other blog participants this month and be inspired to create wonderful Holiday items.

Next up is Marisa.  Make sure to comment on all the posts and let us know what you like.  If you have questions, we will be happy to assist you.

Enjoy your November and Happy Stampin'!

Warm Wishes - 2015 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog

Happy Sunday everyone!

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend....they sure fly by fast!

Today I wanted to share a card I made for a swap featuring designer series paper from the new Stampin' Up Holiday catalog.  I loved the Season of Cheer paper and used the snowflake pagee to create these lovely cards.

I mixed a variety of stamps in creating this card.  The light blue background is stamped using the Snow Place stamp set.  The larger snowflake is from the Holly Jolly Greetings set.  The sentiment is from the Winter Wishes set and was stamped in versa mark.  I used the silver emboss powder to add a little something extra and added some silver cording trim  for a little more glimmer.

I have included a supply listing below for your convenience.  If you would like a holiday catalog or need a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I would be happy to provide one to you.

Be sure to check out some of my other posts, many of the recent posts have items from the new catalog!

Have a great week and Happy Stampin'!

Stampin' Friends Blog Hop - Everything Fall

Happy Thursday!  Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Everything Fall Blog Hop!  I am excited to be a guest blogger for the September hop!  I know that fellow guest blogger - Maria had an awesome card and project and I hope that I can match that awesomeness with my creations!  Barbara Welch has also joined as a guest blogger this month.  Be sure to check out all the great blogs for this month's hop!

Let me start by saying - Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year.  This past Sunday, the temperature was definitely a little bit cooler and has me looking forward to the cooler crisp air and the variety of colors the fall change brings to the Georgia landscape.

Feeling inspired, I picked fall colors to create this outdoor scene using the new Stampin' Up "The Wilderness Awaits" stamp set.  The cute little fox was stamped in Early Espresso on very vanilla card stock and was colored using blending pens and Cajun Craze ink.  The background was sponged using Delightful Dijon, Pumpkin Pie and a  hint of Marina Mist. This combination helps to give the look of dusk.  The grass that the fox is nested in is colored in using Mossy Meadow and a blender pen.  I am hooked on the banner framelits!  The background banners use Early Espresso card stock and the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper from the new Holiday Catalog.  The card base uses the Cajun Craze card stock.    The accent bow at the top is tied using Linen Thread.  To finish off the card, I used a sentiment from the Stampin' Up "For All Things" stamp set.

http://craftingbuddy.blogspot.com/2015/09/stampin-friends-blog-hop-everything-fall.html

My project was made to coordinate with my card.  Fall makes me think of all the upcoming craft fairs and festivals.  I can smell the funnel cakes and apple cider now!  I can't wait!  In keeping with that thought, I created an gift envelope that includes apple cider mix - for the times you can't make it to the festivals.

http://craftingbuddy.blogspot.com/2015/09/stampin-friends-blog-hop-everything-fall.html

I used my Stampin' Up envelope punch board and created this gift container to insert the packets of apple cider mix.  The belly band uses the same DSP paper and Early Espresso card stock.  Using Very Vanilla I used other elements from the Stampin' Up "For All Things" stamp set to add the acorns, leaves and sentiment.  These colors also are from the Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon inks.  The SU Scalloped Tag Topper and Mossy Meadow ribbon added the finishing touches to this gift set.

Be sure to check out other projects listed on my blog - there are several projects created using items from the new Stampin' Up Holiday catalog.

OSAT Designers Choice Blog Hop

Happy Thursday......What day is it?  It's blog hop day..... yea!

I am glad that you hopped on over to my page as part of the One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop.  This month's theme is Designers Choice and I am sure that you enjoyed Terri's creations as much as I did.  In celebration of the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog release, I wanted to showcase a couple of items I created using new Holiday products.

If you are like me, I love to create my own Christmas cards but I have to get an early start in order to make enough.  My creation process doesn't help the timeline!  This month, I decided started designing the first of many.  My card uses the new Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.  There are 6 different double-sided designs.  For this creation I used the designer sheet that has mistletoe on one side and stripes on the other.  I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try my hand at the fun fold technique.

I used two new stamp sets - Wonderland and Flurry of Wishes along with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the new silver Cording Trim.  The soft sky card stock blends very nicely with both the berries in the mistletoe and the stripes from the DSP.  The Mossy Meadow ink matches very nicely with the leaves in the print.

I love how the fun fold opens up to display the sentiment inside.  I could see using this technique in several variety of cards.

Many individuals involved in paper crafting are either card makers or create scrapbooks.  I consider myself to be a mix of the two.  In order to show the versatility of the stamp sets, I created a scrapbook page for my project this month.  For this project, I also used the Flurry of Wishes stamp set along with Embellished Ornaments bundle set.  In keeping with the color theme, soft sky card stock and inks were used in creating the page.  I embossed the snowflakes and lightly sponged with soft sky.  I love the new bundle set used in creating the ornaments.  The foil paper accents the page and gives it a certain elegance.

Please feel free to check out some of my other blog posts using new Stampin' Up products!  Up next is Ms. Maggie.  I hope you will visit all the other hoppers' sites.  There are so many talented individuals in the group, it is always exciting to see what they come up with next.  As always..... Fall is in the air!

Hello all!  I hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day!  Yesterday it was much cooler with a slight breeze to let you know that fall was around the corner.  Fall is my favorite time of the year with all the color changes.

It has been a busy day!  I spent most of the morning making pumpkin bread.  The house and the bread smell so good!

Today I wanted to share a recent card I made to celebrate fall.  I used one of the new Stampin' Up stamp sets called "For All Things".  I used the Cherry on Top DSP with Delightful Dijon and Early Espresso card stock.  I accented the card with Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and a matching button.  I used versa mark and clear embossing powder to add the sentiment to the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and hope you have had a wonderful day enjoying family and friends.

Please join me Thursday as I will be participating in the One Stamp at a Time Blog hop.  The designers have some awesome creations to share with you.  Enjoy the rest of your week and Happy Stampin'!
